We fund the festival by holding three or four Bumps and Babies Sales every year. This is how it works: people donate their unwanted items to us (maternity and breastfeeding clothes, baby/toddler/child clothes, toys, equipment, washable nappies, etc), and we sort and store all donations. We then take all our stock to our Bumps and Babies Sales, and anything unsold goes back into our stock for future sales. Donating to us is an excellent way of supporting the festival - 100% of the takings from our sales goes to fund the festival, as we have no costs. Our volunteers do the sorting and staff the sales, and we're very lucky that our venue is free for us to use. We are very grateful to the Ulverston Children's Centre for letting us use the centre for our fundraising free of charge for past sales. Our sales have now grown, so we have a new, larger venue - Church Walk School (Ulverston CofE Infants School), and we are very grateful for the use of the school for our sales.
